The United States military does not only leads the world, they also governs the web in terms of numbers. Hundreds to thousands of blogs dedicated to U.S troops, written and maintained by service personnel themselves are the vibrant proofs of their dominance in the World Wide Web.
These military focused blogs are frequently associated to the experiences of a U.S troop member as well as of husbands and wives who are uncomplainingly waiting for their spouses. Other blogs are kept by parents who are freely voicing out their passions while others are maintained by children who are yearning for the caring arms of their parents. For whoever keeps the blog - every objective all goes down to expressing their thoughts, emotions of sadness and happiness and quiet pleas that are constantly shouting to the world.
Most military staff shares their stories of daily survival as well as disappointments to the United States administration. While others smugly bare their names and positions, some are doing their things behind a pen name. Such blogs are also flooded with pictures with their families and the realism of living in a world of war.
On the other hand, parents, husbands and wives and children are all similar when it comes to a loved one that has been sent to a war. The prayers of security and keeping them alive can constantly be read in their posts. For those who have lost, writing to their blogs is providing them with relief and acceptance – thus opening another channel to utter their feelings to someone who will never return.
To add more, there are also other online pages that support to the nation’s veterans and active armed forces. These pages are normally run by organizations and other people who want to be part of a online community of brave and caring soldiers.
Certainly, the fast rising community of soldier bloggers is not just dominated by the men in uniform but also common people who have something to voice out. Whatever their reasons for blogging, each of them simply tell the truth about life and hopes for world peace.
