Internet Scams

December 2, 2008 |

Last Monday I started applying for jobs online, posting my resume here and there, hoping for a quick response so that I can start work immediately hence, ending my income issue (at least temporarily). What about working from home now? Well…sadly to say, it is not a realistic option at this time. I agreed that the opportunities to make money online is huge and varies from one field to another but I am still unable to find one that I believe I can make a living out of it.

Internet scam is not a new thing. Lots of websites and companies promising easy money by charging a small amount of money, said to be as an assurance of our seriousness to do the ‘job’. I was more than just tempted to try it all, but luckily enough I have a soul mate who constantly reminding me of these scam bags who made money out of other people’s desperation to find money.

There is always a way to avoid from falling victim to these syndicate. First is to just simply google the company’s name over the internet and look for reviews from other people. The review has to come from an independent website or forums and not of the company’s testimonials itself. Plus, the so called dreams come true testimonials paste on these scams websites are the very first influence that attracted us to join in the first place.

Secondly, one can always check with the National Registrar Company on the validity of the said company, just to be sure that they are genuine and a registered company. Never ever believe the advertisements on the newspaper. When I first found out about this one scheme which advertised itself over a top nation newspaper, I initially have little or no doubt at all to be exact towards it. I mean of course its the truth, who dares to make up stories and advertised it over the national paper? Hehheee…wrong thinking. I almost, lets put it this way, my lack of confidence in myself is the only thing stopping me from depositing RM50 towards this fellow account which I later on found out to be a bogus. For some people who have been trying to find something to suit themselves, these schemes, no matter how bogus or too wonderful it is to be true, sometimes we put a blind eye to it and decided to give it a shot. To put it in a simpler word, we risks the chances of being duped because we wanted to believe that the easy way to make money without the need to step our foot out of our home is there, its real and not just a hearsay.

As pity as it may sounds, I wish that there are really some jobs or works out there that I can do at my own time, something which gives me a good return and end my sorrow of not having money.
