3 Steps To Earning More Money With Your Blog
September 4, 2010 | 1 Comment
To earn money with a blog, you have to do a few things correctly. You have to find a niche, you have to get traffic, and you have to be consistent with your blog on a daily basis. And in this article, we will take a look at some of the ways that you can have a successful blog and start earning money from it. Let’s take a look at tip number 1.
1) Go into a niche
The first thing that you need to know when starting your blog is that you can create a blog about anything. This can be music, news, hobbies, business, or even fashion. But even though you can create a blog about anything, you will want to go into a niche to increase your chances of success.
And it’s best if this niche is something that you know a great deal about. If you have previous knowledge about a topic and you want to build a blog around it, then do so.
2) Monetize your blog
You want to earn revenue from your blog, and 2 great ways to do so is with affiliate marketing and Google Adsense. Both of these ways allow you to earn money while writing about things that you are interested in.
If your blog is hosted on Blogger.com, you should know that incorporating google adsense on your blog is simple and easy. Blogger.com has a simple wizard that will allow you to place adsense ads on your blog simply and easily.
But to incorporate affiliate products on your blog, you will have to do that manually. However blogger now allows you to incorporate Amazon.com products on your blog, and there is a step-by-step wizard for that also. So if you want to use Amazon as your affiliate program source, then you can relax in the fact that Blogger makes this easy for you to do also.
3) Market your blog
You can use simple free marketing techniques such as article marketing, video marketing, and forum marketing to get traffic to your blog. With article marketing, all you do is write 300-500 word articles on a particular subject and submit them to the popular article directories. Here are the directories that I submit to.
- EzineArticles.com
- goarticles.com
- ideamarketers.com
- articlesbase.com
- articledashboard.com
All of these article directories get tons of traffic on a daily basis and will allow you to get the traffic you need to make your blog successful.
When implementing video marketing, you will want to go on You tube and post videos related to your niche. In all of your videos, you should include your blog information at the bottom of your videos so that users can go back to your blog.
With forum marketing, you will want to join a forum and give good information about a topic related to your niche. You advertise your blog information in the signature of your blog and this is where readers will find out more information about you. Never spam the forum with your blog information as this is a very ineffective way to market your products and services.
Keep these 3 tips in mind when creating and marketing your blog. Good luck, and start earning money with your blog today.

If you really want to make your blog profitable, then you need traffic. Traffic to your blog is your lifeline and without it you won’t earn any money. Without enough blog traffic, your blog will remain lonely and you won’t earn alot of money from it.
If you really want to have success with your blog, then getting more blog traffic should be your sole focus. I understand that you want to build a fan base of loyal subscribers and readers but what’s the point of accomplishing this goal is no one will visit your blog?
So in this article, we will take a look at some way that you can get traffic to your blog that still works today. Anyone one of these techniques will allow you to get the traffic that you need to make your blog successful, and to help increase your sales and profits. Let’s take a look at traffic method number 1.
1) Pay-per-click advertising
Pay-per-click (or PPC) advertising is an excellent way to get fast traffic to your blog. This traffic method is the sole cause for fast business successes and even faster business failures - so you will want to be careful when using this method. PPC can become very addictive especially if you’re seeing some results from your marketing, so you will want to analyze your costs according.
When using this method, your two main goals should be to have a high click through rate and to keep your costs down. To keep your costs down, you will need alot of keywords. You can use free keyword tools such as Google’s free keyword tool to find a ton of keywords related to your blog. With alot of non-competitive keywords, you allow yourself to operate in a niche and to experience little to no cost of marketing when doing so.
2) Article marketing
Article marketing is a very fast and easy way to get traffic to your blog. Some people think that article marketing doesn’t work as well as it used to in the past, but I highly disagree with this argument. The truth of the matter is that article marketing still works and is still as effective as it ever was.
When doing article marketing, you will want to write 300-500 word articles on subjects relating to your blog. After you have written up your articles, you will want to submit them to the top blog directories. Here are my top 5:
- EzineArticles.com
- articlesbase.com
- goarticles.com
- articledashboard.com
- articlesbase.com
When you do article marketing, you get traffic in 2 ways. The first way is from the search engine traffic from your articles. When users type in a keyword phrase, your article will show up in the search engines and users will be able to read your article.
The other way you get traffic is when website owners take your articles and post them on their website. You still get full credit for your articles because they leave your author byline information intact. Your author byline is where you leave information about your blog in your article.
Both of these ways of getting traffic to your blog are very effective and are techniques that you should start using today. Good luck with getting traffic to your blog and increasing your blog’s revenue.

1) Pay-per-click advertising
Pay-per-click advertising (or PPC) is hot right now and is a great way to get traffic to your blog. The 3 major players in the PPC game right now are Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and MSN Adcenter. All 3 of these companies can supply you with the traffic you need to earn more money from your blog.
But no matter what company you use to run your ads on, you need to monitor your costs. You also will want to make sure that you have a high click-through rate as this will ensure that your ads are seen the most. To really get alot of benefit from pay-per-click advertising, you will want to have alot of keywords. With alot of keywords, you can bid on keywords that aren’t competitive at all.
This will allow you to carve out a niche in the marketplace and operate in a competition free zone. There are a ton of keyword search tools that you can use to find out little-known keywords to bid on and one such tool is Google’s free keyword tool. To find this tool, all you have to do is go to Google and type in “Google’s free keyword tool”. This will allow you to start finding low competitive keywords to bid on.
2) Article marketing
Article marketing is an excellent way to get traffic to your blog now. It’s still going strong and you should start using it today for the most benefit. The first way is via the search engines. All of these article directories rank high in the search engines and when someone types in a certain keyword or phrase, your article will appear to them. They will click on your article and you will get traffic to your blog.
The other way is when website publishers take your article and put them onto their website. This gives you additional exposure but your articles will have to be good in order for website owners to want to publish your article.
Both of these methods of getting traffic to your blog still work today. Be sure to start using them now in order to get the kind of great results that you are looking for.

3 Easy Steps to Blogging For Profit - Micro Niche Blogs
September 3, 2010 | Leave a Comment
Micro niche blogs are all the rage these in the internet marketing world these days. Successful blogs sell for great prices on site flipping marketplaces, but I am going to show you how to start blogging for profit using the micro niche techniques. This process involves 3 steps:
1. Keyword Research. Use a free tool such as Google Keyword Tool and type up some keywords on the niche you would like to go for. This can be a physical product or a ClickBank product kind of niche, Find long tail keywords (3-7 words) that get at least 1000 product name searches or more per month. Make sure to select phrase search option rather than the default broad search. When you phrase search your keyword in Google by putting it in double quotes, there should be less than 25-30.000 competing sites coming up in the results. It is possible to get rankings for higher competition keywords, but as beginners we want to pick the low hanging fruit. There should also be plenty of AdSense ads displaying when you search this keyword, this means there is money in it. After deciding on your main keyword, pick a few more keywords related to this niche.
2. Domain registration and blog setup. Buy a domain consisting of your long tail keyword, Go for as.com domain since those rank the best. If that is not available,.net or.org is acceptable but.com is what you should go after. If it’s not available for your main keyword, then consider a synonym keyword (matching our monthly search, competition and profits criteria) or one of your secondary keywords.
Do not get an.info domain, they are very affordable but it’s extremely difficult to get them ranked in search engines. Since we are blogging for profit, we want to get the domain we can rank rather fast, Next step is to get a hosting service such as Hostgator. Do not use free blogs, these get deleted and shut down all the time, and your profits will vanish overnight.
If you are serious about blogging for profit, then get your own domain and hosting to avoid the frustration later. Once you get these squared, download the all in one SEO plugin and other WordPress plugins useful for affiliate marketing, Amazon and eBay marketing purposes. Pick a simple free theme for the start the blog. You can always purchase a premium theme later on. if you are going mostly for AdSense, I recommend using the free version of Heatmap theme since it makes it extremely easy to set up AdSense ads on your blog.
3. Content generation and monetization. Write a few 300-400 word articles for your main keyword and at least one article for each one of your secondary keywords. Make sure the content is unique and provides value to the customer. Make sure to watch out for the keyword density and do not mention your keyword more than 2-3 times in the article body. Set up your WordPress to schedule posting these articles weekly or couple times a week. Ping and social bookmark it each time new content is posted. Write shorter, watered down versions of your articles and regularly submit those to article directories.
Set up a Google AdSense account and get AdSense codes to post on your site. Then go on Amazon & eBay and set up an affiliate accounts there. If you are promoting ClickBank or other e-products, get an affiliate code for those as well. You can set up affiliate accounts for most major product vendors for digital or physical products. A good strategy is to add the multiple link AdSense ads and the large Amazon recommended products widget to your site. However, take care not to stuff it too much with AdSense, we don’t want have more ads than content.
After you complete this steps, the next thing to do is to promote your site in the blogosphere, social media, article directories and free classifieds sites.
